Nathaniel Vann currently serves as the Assistant Director of Teaching & Learning, New Teacher Development Coordinator, and Instructional Coach at North Chicago District 187 since July 2021. Prior to this role, Nathaniel hosted the Morning Prep Podcast from November 2020 to July 2021, focusing on enhancing teaching practices and classroom culture. Previous experience includes serving as the Humanities Instructional Lead at Perspectives Charter Schools and a High School Social Studies Teacher at Noble Network of Charter Schools. Nathaniel's earlier roles encompass Director of School Logistics for Teach For America and a History Teacher at CICS Chicago Quest, along with an Instructional Assistant position at Field Middle School. Nathaniel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching/History from Northeastern Illinois University, a Master of Education in Teaching, Learning, and Assessment from National Louis University, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Teaching and Learning at Clemson University.
