Lauren Rios

Lauren Rios has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. Starting in 2011, they worked at Ashford University, initially as an Associate Faculty and later as a Military Academic Advising Manager. In these roles, they focused on student support, engagement, and retention strategies.

In 2015, Lauren joined Zovio as an Academic Program Manager, where they managed collaboration between content designers and subject matter experts to implement multiple course projects. Lauren also worked with faculty, university partners, and stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives and launch new curriculum.

During 2020, Lauren worked at the County of San Diego as a COVID-19 Case Investigator. Their responsibilities included contacting and interviewing individuals suspected or confirmed with COVID-19 for public health case investigation and contact tracing. Lauren also addressed outbreaks in school settings and provided guidance to K-12 schools on COVID-19 procedures.

Lauren's most recent role, starting in 2021, is as a Planning and Project Manager at TrueCare. Lauren provides leadership and oversight for projects within the Strategy & Development department to support organizational goals. This includes planning, coordinating, and implementing projects while managing budgets and analyzing relevant data for strategic discussions.

Additionally, Lauren briefly worked as an Associate Faculty at the University of Arizona Global Campus in 2021, contributing their expertise to the educational institution.

Throughout their career, Lauren has demonstrated strong project management, leadership, and communication skills in various professional settings.

Lauren Rios holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of the Rockies. Lauren also obtained a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management, with an emphasis in Global Leadership, from Ashford University. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with an emphasis in Developmental Psychology, from California State University San Marcos.
