Scott Loeschke is an accomplished engineering and facilities management professional with extensive experience in both the public transportation sector and the U.S. Navy. Currently serving as the Deputy Chief Development Officer and Director of Engineering and Maintenance at North County Transit District, Scott oversees facilities and rail maintenance for a transit agency that handles 11 million passenger trips annually. Prior roles in the U.S. Navy include Director of Facilities for Marine Corps Installations Command, where Scott managed a $3 billion annual budget, and multiple leadership positions including Commanding Officer of NCTC Port Hueneme. Scott's education includes a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota Mines, complemented by ongoing studies at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

North County Transit District is the primary public transportation system in North San Diego County. Every year, millions of passengers ride our COASTER commuter trains, SPRINTER hybrid rail trains, BREEZE buses, FLEX and LIFT paratransit. Our team is committed to providing safe, convenient, reliable and user-friendly transportation services to people in the region. We have more than 63 miles of rail lines serving 23 stations, and 30 BREEZE bus routes with more than 1,600 stops. In recent years, we added new COASTER locomotives that have a 90% emission reduction compared to other locomotives and 64% more horsepower. Since FY19, we have also added 70 new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses to the BREEZE fleet.
