Community and Public Services

The Community and Public Services team at North East Derbyshire District Council is responsible for enhancing community well-being and public safety. Key functions include managing public spaces and trees (Arboricultural Officer), enforcing local licensing regulations (Licensing Enforcement Officer), promoting tourism and local events (Tourism and Events Officer), and communicating council initiatives (Communications Officers). The team also addresses homelessness prevention (Accommodation and Homelessness Prevention Officer, Homelessness Special Projects Officer), processes local tax and benefits (Revenues & Benefits), provides legal support (Senior Legal Officer), fosters community development (Community Development Worker), and ensures environmental health and safety (Environmental Health Safety).
