Richard Dowson

Richard Dowson has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Starting in 1996, they worked as a Business Information Officer and then transitioned to the role of Small Business Advisor at Business Link Tees Valley. In 2003, they joined Middlesbrough Council, where they served as a Senior Economic Development Officer and later became the Head of Economic Growth. During their time at Middlesbrough Council, they were responsible for overseeing various economic development projects and initiatives. In 2016, Richard became the Director of RAEC Ltd, a consultancy firm specializing in strategic management, development, and change. Richard worked on projects related to placemaking and sectoral development, making significant contributions in areas such as affordable housing and business space. As of 2022, Richard is currently employed as the Head of Project Management at North East Lincolnshire Council.
