Karalyn Bere

Karalyn Bere has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Karalyn currently works at North Hill Needham Inc., where they started as an Assistant Controller in September 2018. Karalyn then moved up to the role of Controller in March 2020 and finally became the Director of Finance in July 2023.

Before joining North Hill Needham Inc., Karalyn worked at Tufts Medical Center from September 2011 to September 2018. During this time, they held multiple roles, including Senior Accountant and Manager of General Accounting. In their role as Senior Accountant, they were responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financials in the general ledger and presenting budget variance analysis to the CFO.

Prior to Tufts Medical Center, they worked at Hallmark Health System, Inc. as a Senior Accountant from May 2007 to September 2010. In this role, they managed the annual budget process, prepared tax returns, and developed relationships with internal customers. Karalyn also worked as a Decision Support Analyst during this time, where they reconciled data and created reports.

Karalyn's early work experience includes a brief role as a Junior Compliance Analyst at Watts Water Technologies in 2007 and a position as a Client Service Specialist at Putnam Investments from October 2005 to February 2007.

Karalyn Bere attended Merrimack College from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance. From 2007 to 2010, they pursued their MBA with a specialization in Accounting at Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School. In 2016 and 2017, Karalyn participated in the Emerging Leaders Program at UMass Boston's Center for Collaborative Leadership, where they earned a fellowship.
