Brandy Smith Branstad

Brandy Smith Branstad is an accomplished hospitality professional with extensive experience in hotel management and education. Currently serving as the General Manager of Hampton Inn & Suites in Mason City, Iowa, since April 2006, Brandy has successfully opened multiple properties, including a new 83-room hotel in 2016 and a 102-room facility in West Des Moines in 2015. In addition to managerial roles at Kinseth Hospitality Companies, Brandy contributes to the field as an Adjunct Instructor for the Hospitality Program at North Iowa Area Community College. Previous leadership positions include General Manager at Clarion Inn Mason City, Arrowwood Resort Okoboji, and Club House Inn & Suites Omaha, along with a tenure as Director of Catering at Radisson Hotel Rochester. Brandy holds a Master’s degree in Global Hospitality Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Restaurant Management from Iowa State University, and an Associate degree from North Iowa Area Community College.
