Nicholas Perkel

Nicholas Perkel is a versatile media professional with extensive experience in writing, broadcasting, and education. Currently serving as a Night Shift staff member at North Jersey Media Group since January 2021, Nicholas also hosts the Japan Nick's Quarantine Podcast and contributes to multiple music publications, including Soulgrinder Zine, Headsplit Magazine, and Bulldozer Magazine, since 2015. Previously, Nicholas worked as a freelance technical writer and taught ESL to international students. Educational credentials include a B.A. in East Asian Languages and Area Studies from Rutgers University and a TESOL certificate from Montclair State University. Additionally, Nicholas has a rich background as a Metal Director and On Air Personality at 90.3 WMSC-FM, where training new DJs and conducting industry reports were key responsibilities.
