In 2008, Amy joined Children's Mercy Hospital as an Outpatient Admissions Manager and later took on roles as Senior Admissions Manager, Patient Access Director, and Senior Director of Revenue Cycle. During their time at Children's Mercy Hospital, Amy focused on ensuring timely and accurate practices and processes, adhering to government regulations, and achieving key performance indicators.
In 2019, Amy joined North Kansas City Hospital as the Vice President of Revenue Cycle, overseeing various revenue cycle operations, including facility and ancillary revenue operations, patient access, and payor strategy. Amy was later promoted to Vice President of Revenue Cycle & Managed Care, where they navigated complex changes to hospital and professional reimbursement to optimize cash flow.

Amy Crawford received a BA degree in Psychology from The University of Kansas in 2006. Amy then pursued further education at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where they completed their MHSA degree in Health Policy and Management between 2006 and 2008. Additionally, they obtained a certification in LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt for Healthcare from Johnson County Community College, although the specific month and year of attainment are not mentioned.
