Brenda Swihart has extensive experience in the nursing field, primarily at North Kansas City Hospital, where tenure began in September 1990 and includes roles as Stroke Program Manager, Accreditation Coordinator for STEMI and Stroke, RN/Data Analyst, and RN. Brenda was instrumental in opening a new unit for special procedures requiring recovery, encompassing radiology and cardiac catheterizations with PCI. Prior experience includes serving as a Critical Care Nurse at North Kansas City Hospital from June 1984 to March 1990, and as a Telemetry RN at Cox Medical Center from May 1981 to June 1984, with early career experience as an RN in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in Registered Nursing from MidAmerica Nazarene University (2017-2019) and an RN degree from Burge School of Nursing (1978-1981).
