Melanie N. has had extensive work experience in the healthcare and customer service industries. Melanie began their career as a Staff Registered Nurse at North Kansas City Hospital in 2009 before being promoted to Critical Care Registered Nurse in 2012. In 2014, they became the Director of Clinical Operations at the hospital. During their time there, they represented the administration, ensured adequate allocation of nursing staff, guided patient admissions and transfers, and resolved facility problems.

Prior to their work at North Kansas City Hospital, Melanie N. worked at APAC Customer Service Inc from 2000 to 2005. Melanie started as a Call Center Representative and Team Leader, then became an Assistant Center Business Manager. In this role, they were responsible for the quality, productivity, and revenue results of over 100 employees in both inbound and outbound call center operations. Melanie also communicated and collaborated with the Center Business Manager and Account Management team to solidify and grow the business. Melanie N. received recognition for their exceptional performance, being voted as the #1 Assistant Center Business Manager in the region in 2003 and winning the "Spirit of the Site" award in 2004.

Melanie N. obtained a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Graceland University, School of Nursing in the years 2007-2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science - BS in Business Administration and Management, General and a Bachelors in Business Administration from Missouri Western State University between 1997 and 2002.
