Brennan Shutt

Brennan Shutt, DO, FACP, currently serves as an Executive at North Memorial Health and has been the Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Maple Grove Hospital since September 2019, in addition to holding the position of Medical Director for Hospital Medicine. Brennan also works as an Emergency Physician with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, overseeing the supervision of medical trainees at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. From June 2012 to August 2019, Brennan was involved with the US Navy as a Staff Internist/Hospitalist and held various leadership and educational roles, including Assistant Department Head and Associate Professor of Medicine. Brennan’s early career achievements include honors such as the 2014 ACP Resident Teacher of the Year Award and involvement in volunteer work at St. Vincent De Paul Village Free Clinic. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics from Clemson University.
