Scott Alan Johnson has over 20 years of work experience. Scott Alan started their career at the University of St. Thomas as a Graduate Assistant, where they served as an administrative assistant and helped plan an academic symposium. Scott Alan then worked as an English Instructor at Minneapolis Community and Technical College, teaching composition and grammar.
Moving into the healthcare industry, Johnson joined Fairview Performance Excellence as a Quality Improvement Data Analyst, where they collected and analyzed data for customer and employee surveys. Scott Alan later became a Performance Improvement Consultant at Fairview Health Services, specializing in marketing and communications for the Diabetes Care program. Scott Alan provided strategic planning consultation, conducted research, led process improvement projects, and supported clinical data collection and reporting.
Johnson then took on roles as a Clinic Network Analyst and Senior Quality Analyst at Fairview Medical Group Quality Department, where they were responsible for analyzing and reporting on clinical quality and financial performance. Scott Alan also served as a Senior Engineer in Quality & Health Informatics, optimizing Epic EMR software and working closely with primary care physicians to improve clinical quality.
In 2013, Johnson joined Cedars-Sinai as a Technology Architect. In this role, they were a project manager and technical advisor for high-priority projects, working with physicians, nursing, and senior leaders to optimize EHR technology for accountable care. Scott Alan also helped develop strategies, set priorities, and resource projects.
Currently, Johnson is working at North Memorial Health as a Lead Outcomes Analyst. Scott Alan leads a team of report writers and focuses on training and mentoring new team members, assessing projects, and ensuring the delivery of valid and useful data for customers.
Throughout their career, Johnson has also been involved in various community activities, including serving as the Campaign Co-Chair for the Robbinsdale Area Schools Vote Yes Committee, where they successfully organized and lobbied for the passing of an operating referendum.
Scott Alan Johnson holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in English from the University of St. Thomas, which they earned from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Magna Cum Laude degree in English and Ancient Studies (Classics) from St. Olaf College, between 1994 and 1996. Scott Alan also attended St. Louis Park Senior High, where they obtained their high school diploma from 1985 to 1989. Scott has additional certifications in various EpicCare modules, such as Clarity Data Model - EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient Procedure Orders, Healthy Planet, Inpatient Decision Support, and Reporting Workbench. Scott Alan also holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Fairview Health Services.
