Christianto Sumbung

Christianto Sumbung has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of mechanical engineering, with a particular focus on rotating equipment.

Christianto worked for North Oil Company Qatar from 2017 and currently holds the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer-Rotating Equipment-T2. In this role, they provide maintenance technical support to offshore operations for rotating equipment in the Al Shaheen field. Christianto acts as a bridge between facilities maintenance and offshore operations.

Before their current role, they held the position of Rotating Equipment Engineer at North Oil Company Qatar from 2021 to 2023. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining gas turbines, compressors, and other rotating machinery in the field. Additionally, they provided support to operations by ensuring the smooth functioning of these units. Christianto also developed and implemented medium to longer term planning on maintenance, overhauls, and obsolescence planning.

Prior to joining North Oil Company Qatar, Christianto worked at Maersk Oil Qatar. From 2015 to 2017, they held the position of Mechanical Supervisor. Before that, from 2012 to 2015, they were a Rotating Equipment Engineer at Maersk Oil Qatar.

Christianto also has a previous work experience at Solar Turbines, where they held the position of Principal Regional Field Engineer from 2007 to 2009. Before that, from 2001 to 2006, they worked as a Senior Regional Field Engineer at Solar Turbines. Christianto initially started their career at Solar Turbines in 1998 as a Field Service Representative.
