Ryan Gibb has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ryan began their career at Wood Group in 2007, where they worked as a Mechanical Technician at the St Fergus Gas Plant in Aberdeenshire, UK. In this role, they performed various mechanical maintenance tasks, collaborated with vendors and professionals on-site, and mentored mechanical apprentices. Ryan also demonstrated initiative in problem-solving and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. During their time at Wood Group, Ryan achieved a Modern Apprenticeship and training at Level 1 Slinger/Banksman.

In 2012, Ryan joined Shell as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician/Planner. In July 2014, they obtained the Helideck Emergency Response Team Member certification from OPITO. In August 2013, they obtained the HDA Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM) certification from OPITO. In April 2013, they completed the Further Offshore Emergency Response Team Member program offered by OPITO.

In December 2012, they acquired the Basic Offshore Safety Induction And Emergency Training certification from OPITO. In December 2011, they completed the Escape Chute Training program provided by Maersk Training and obtained the Minimum Industry Safety Training certification from OPITO.

In May 2011, they completed the ISSOW B program offered by Petrotechnics. In May 2010, they acquired the ISSOW A certification from Petrotechnics.
