Svetlana Zigelman

Svetlana Zigelman is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the design and development of advanced imaging and manufacturing systems. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Research and Development at North Star Imaging, Inc. since March 2014, Svetlana specializes in 2D digital X-ray and 3D computed tomography systems for industrial applications. Previous roles include Mechanical Engineer at Hysitron, Inc., focusing on precision devices for nano-mechanical test instruments, and Project Engineer at Continental Machines, Inc. and Continental Hydraulics, Inc., where Svetlana developed automatic band saw machines. Additional experience includes consultancy at Wintek Electro-Optics Corporation, designing vacuum equipment for flat panel display manufacturing, and leadership as a Mechanical Engineer at GSI Lumonics Corporation, overseeing the development of laser-based manufacturing systems for various industries. Svetlana holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Belarusian National Technical University in Minsk.
