Sarah Nickelson

Sarah Nickelson is a seasoned professional in software development and database management with over 25 years of experience. Currently serving as a Senior Developer at North Star Mutual Insurance Company since December 2008, Sarah specializes in designing, coding, and testing COBOL and RPG applications, utilizing flat files and KIOII files as data sources, as well as SQL design and optimization. Prior roles include DBA and Mainframe Programmer at The Schwan Food Company, where Sarah was responsible for high-frequency COBOL and CICS programs managing extensive DB2 transactions, and a lead Database Analyst III for a major re-platforming project at Schwans Shared Services, LLC. Sarah began a career in technology as a Summer Intern at Student Loan Finance Corporation in 1996 after earning a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Dakota State University in 1997.
