Erica Velasquez, LMSW, is a skilled professional in social work with extensive experience in behavioral health services. Currently serving as an MST Bilingual Therapist at North Texas Behavioral Health Authority since March 2022, Erica utilizes the MST treatment model to provide direct clinical treatment, conducting comprehensive assessments of clients and families. Erica also leads the Kaufman bridge program, overseeing care coordinators and fostering relationships with community stakeholders to enhance client support. Previous roles include serving as a Financial Empowerment Intern at Sharing Life Community Outreach, Inc., where assistance was provided to families with financial resources, and as an Aftercare Intern at CitySquare, focusing on youth transitioning to independent living. Erica holds a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
North Texas Behavioral Health Authority
The North Texas Behavioral Health Authority (NTBHA) is the state designated Local Behavioral Health Authority (LBHA) for the counties of Dallas, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro and Rockwall. NTBHA was created to be a safety net for our behavioral health system of care, which encompasses mental health, substance use, and crisis services for persons eligible for Medicaid and/or public behavioral health funds within our six county region.
