Luke Smeaton

Luke Smeaton is an experienced professional in sustainability and environmental planning, currently serving as the Manager of Sustainability, Energy & Environmental Planning at North Vancouver School District #44 since March 2017. Previously, Luke held the position of Executive Director at Light House Sustainable Building Centre from October 2014 to March 2017, and was the Managing Director and Owner of Simbio Consulting from August 2013 to October 2014. Additional experience includes roles as Technical Lead and Project Manager for Green Building at Halsall Associates, Sustainability Consultant at Arup Associates, Environmentally Sustainable Design Consultant at Cundall Australia, Building Performance Modeller at Sustainable Built Environments, Research Assistant at the Centre for Building Performance Research, and Steel Fabricator at R. Betteridge Engineering. Luke holds a Bachelor of Building Science with a focus on Energy Efficiency and Building Performance from Victoria University of Wellington, completed between 2000 and 2003.
