Chief Inspector - Pressure Equipment Integrity at NORTH WEST REDWATER PARTNERSHIP

Vern Trimble's work experience begins in 1990 at Syncrude Canada Ltd., where they worked as a QA Inspector and gained experience in inspection techniques and procedures. Vern then moved on to Rivest Testing in 1997 as a Visual Inspector, further developing their inspection skills and work ethic. In 2001, Trimble joined TransAlta, starting as an Owner User Program (OUP) Inspector and eventually taking on roles such as Plant Engineering Technologist, Operations Manager, and Integrity Management System (IMS) Inspector. In 2012, they joined Capital Power Corporation as Manager of QA and Chief Inspector, responsible for maintaining the Integrity Management Program and overseeing pressure equipment integrity. Trimble's most recent position is Chief Inspector - Pressure Equipment Integrity at North West Redwater Partnership, which they assumed in 2019.

Vern Trimble obtained a Diploma in Welding Engineering Technology/Technician from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in the years 1988 to 1990. Vern also holds various certifications including Professional Licensee in Engineering from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in 2015, Registered Engineering Technologist from ASET | The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta in 1988, and additional certifications in Inservice Inspection, Piping Inspection (API 570), and Pressure Vessel Inspection (API 510) from various institutions.
