Nasim Zand is currently serving as a Youth & Children Programming Worker at North York Community House since June 2022, where responsibilities include leading a summer camp for newcomer youths and teaching photography and visual arts. North York Community House (NYCH) is a charitable neighbourhood centre, serving new immigrants and residents in northwest Toronto. For over 27 years, NYCH has been dedicated to supporting newcomers in settling and integrating into the community; offering programs that build skills and connections; strengthening neighbourhoods by working with residents; and supporting the positive development of children, youth and families. We provide services in over 80 locations (including schools and community centres) in more than 30 languages. In 2017, NYCH provided services to over 20,000 people.
