Pierre Britz

Pierre Britz is a seasoned professional in metallurgical engineering and operations management, currently serving as Technical Manager at Northam Platinum since July 2021. With extensive experience in the mining sector, Pierre held various management positions at Implats from 2006 to June 2021, including Operations Manager and Technical Manager within the furnaces and smelter divisions. Prior roles at Impala Platinum included operations management across multiple areas from 1998 to 2005, as well as a foundation in metallurgy through earlier positions at Gencor/Billiton Met Services and various gold mines in 1995. Pierre's academic credentials include a National Higher Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering and certifications in management from the University of the Witwatersrand and the University of South Africa.
