James Alger currently serves as the Head of Goalkeeping and 1st Team Goalkeeping Coach at Northampton Town Football Club since July 2021. Prior to this role, James was the Head of Academy Goalkeeping at Coventry City from October 2019 to July 2021. From June 2014 to September 2019, James held multiple positions at Northampton Town Football Club, including PDP Assistant Coach for u18s and Head of Academy Goalkeeping for u9s to u18s. Additionally, James worked as the 1st Team Goalkeeper Coach and 1st Team Coach at Kettering Town Football Club from July 2015 to September 2019, and was the 1st Team Goalkeeper Coach and Academy GK Coach at Histon Football Club from September 2008 to July 2014.
