Adam Scarth

Adam Scarth has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Adam started their career at Wawanesa Insurance as a Manager, Actuarial Pricing - Automobile from May 2007 to August 2010. Adam then joined Intact Financial Corporation as a Senior Actuarial Analyst from September 2010 to May 2012. Since May 2012, Adam has been working at Northbridge Financial Corporation, where they have held various roles including Manager, Actuarial Pricing - Transportation and Logistics from May 2012 to February 2015, Director, Commercial Lines Pricing and Analytics from February 2015 to March 2018, Director, Data Science & Analytics from March 2018 to September 2021, and currently as the Vice President, Corporate Actuarial starting from September 2021. Overall, Adam has gained extensive experience and expertise in actuarial pricing, data science, analytics, and corporate leadership throughout their career.

Adam Scarth earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree in Actuarial Mathematics from the University of Manitoba, studying from 2002 to 2007. Adam has also obtained various additional certifications, including SQL for Non-Programmers from LinkedIn in 2022, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization from Coursera in 2021, and a Certificate in Business Communications from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies in 2019. Adam is a Certified Specialist in Predictive Analytics from The CAS Institute in 2018 and has completed multiple online courses in data science and programming from Johns Hopkins University on Coursera in 2017. Adam became a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society in 2011 and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries in 2012.
