Jay Rajasekharan has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Jay currently holds the position of Director of Data Analytics at Northbridge Financial Corporation since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at LoyaltyOne as an Associate Director of Analytics & Insights, where they were responsible for leading the analytics practice for a major Canadian retailer and managing a team of 8 analytics professionals. Jay also held roles as an Analytics & Insights Manager and Analytics Manager at LoyaltyOne, where they built end-to-end capabilities around consumer analytics and loyalty campaign measurement for North American retail clients.

Before joining LoyaltyOne, Jay worked at IBM in various roles, including Business Analyst, Lead for Digital Workplace Services and Course Developer for the Digital Business Group. Jay also served as a Transition Manager and Business Analyst for End User Services at IBM.

Jay's earlier experience includes working at Honeywell Aerospace as a Project Engineer and Value Engineering Intern, where they managed productivity projects and worked on engineering cost reduction projects. Jay also gained experience as a Student Surveyor and Data Analyst at the Greater Toronto Airports Authority.

Throughout their career, Jay has demonstrated proficiency in various technical skills such as Python, R, SQL, JavaScript, PowerBI, Tableau, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, and Azure Stack. Their expertise lies in loyalty and marketing analytics, customer segmentation, statistical modeling, and data visualization.

Jay Rajasekharan completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto. Following this, they pursued a Masters in Management in Artificial Intelligence at Queen's University. In addition to their formal education, Jay obtained several certifications including Deep Learning in Python, Cleaning Data in Python, Importing Data in Python and R, Intermediate Python for Data Science, Intermediate R, and Intro to Python for Data Science, among others. Jay also obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute and an edX Honor Code Certificate for Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python. The year of obtaining these certifications is not provided.
