Aiyu Kang

Aiyu (Iris) Kang has extensive experience in education, primarily as a Mandarin Chinese teacher since 2013. Currently, Aiyu serves as a Mandarin Chinese and Guided Studies Teacher at Northbrook/Glenview School District #30, where collaboration on curriculum development and implementation of standards-based grading have been key responsibilities. Prior experience includes fostering communication skills in Mandarin at Arlington Heights School District 25 and student teaching at Thomas Middle School, among other roles. Aiyu's educational background includes a Master of Education in Educational Policy, Organization and Leadership from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, along with a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Languages and Cultures. Aiyu has demonstrated a commitment to incorporating technology and differentiated instruction in teaching, as well as promoting cultural understanding through various initiatives and events.
