Northeast Arc
Susan Ring Brown is a seasoned nonprofit development professional with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of Foundation & Corporate Engagement at Northeast Arc since October 2021, Susan previously held multiple positions at Judge Baker Children's Center, including Associate Director of Advancement and Grant & Foundation Relations Manager. With a significant tenure at Northeast Arc from 2008 to 2019, Susan advanced from Grants Manager to Chief Development Officer, overseeing a development program for a $250 million organization serving over 10,000 individuals annually. Additional leadership roles include Director of Development at The Arc of East Middlesex and Triangle, Inc., along with early career positions in legislative liaison and public relations. Susan holds a Master of Science in Public Affairs from the McCormack Institute at UMass Boston and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science from UMass Amherst.

Northeast Arc was created in the 1950s by parents of children with disabilities who rejected the assumption that their children should be institutionalized, and worked to create a community-based service system.
