Jack Shad

Economic Development Project Manager at Northeast Florida Regional Council

Jack Shad has worked in various roles since 2001. Jack began their career as an Urban Planner for the City of Jacksonville, where they served in historic preservation, long-range and community development planning. Jack was also the project manager for Northwest & Southwest Vision & Master Plans. In 2004, they became the Programming & Marketing Manager and Manager at the 5 Points Theatre. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Public Parking Officer for the City of Jacksonville. In 2017, they co-founded The Court Urban Food Park, which is downtown Jacksonville's food truck heaven. In 2020, they became the Economic Development Project Manager at the Northeast Florida Regional Council.

Jack Shad obtained a BA in History & English from the University of Florida between 1993 and 1997. Jack then returned to the University of Florida and earned a Master's Degree in Urban & Regional Planning in 2001. Jack also holds a Florida Real Estate Broker certification.
