Amanda Johnson

Amanda Johnson, CPA, currently serves as the Director of Medical Education, Finance & Operations at Northeast Georgia Health System since January 2019, having previously held roles in GME Finance management. Prior experience includes positions as Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant at NASH UNC Health Care, and Senior Accountant at Ottumwa Regional Health Center, where significant responsibilities included mentoring new staff and overseeing hospital financial statistics. Amanda began as an Accountant at Phelps County Regional Medical Center with a focus on fixed asset transactions and journal entries. Additional experience encompasses teaching Financial Accounting at Central Texas College and holding various senior accounting roles at Central States Health & Welfare and Pension Funds, where responsibilities included preparing audited financial statements and conducting employer audits. Amanda holds a Master of Accounting and Financial Management from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
