Darlene Sweet, MSN RN NEA-BC, currently serves as the Vice President of the Georgia Heart Institute and holds the position of Interim Chief Nursing Executive at Northeast Georgia Health System since January 2022. Previously, Darlene was the Executive Director of Nursing for Critical Care and Burn ICU at WellStar Health System from December 2019 to January 2022. Darlene’s experience also includes serving as Trauma Program Director at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Nursing Director of Critical Care at Stamford Hospital. Darlene started as a Registered Nurse and Clinical Nurse Educator at Yale New Haven Hospital, and earlier work includes a role as a Registered Nurse at UMass Memorial Medical Center. Darlene holds both a BSN and an MSN in Nursing Administration from Saint Josephs College of Maine.
