Layne Mitchell

Layne Mitchell has extensive experience in the healthcare field, specifically in radiology management. Currently serving as Executive Director at Northeast Georgia Health System since November 2018, Layne previously held the position of Radiology Department Administrator at Augusta University Health from March 2014 to November 2018. Additional experience includes the role of Business Manager for Imaging Services at Georgia Health Sciences from 2012 to March 2014, overseeing budgeting, personnel, and clinical management within the radiology business. Prior to that, Layne was the Chief Radiographer at Georgia Health Sciences University from February 2008 to March 2012, focusing on clinical management of specialized radiologic procedures. Layne earned a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology/Science from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University between 1992 and 1995 and pursued further education at the American Public University System from 2010 to 2013.
