Joseph Hwang

Joseph Hwang, FACHE, currently serves as Market Chief Operating Officer for Beverly, Addison Gilbert, and Anna Jaques Hospitals at Beth Israel Lahey Health, a position held since December 2022. Prior to this role, Joseph Hwang was Chief Operating Officer for Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals and held multiple leadership positions at UHS from July 2014 to December 2022, including Chief Operating Officer at Manatee Memorial Hospital and Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, along with roles as Associate Administrator and Assistant Administrator at The George Washington University Hospital and Manatee Memorial Hospital, respectively. Earlier experience includes an Administrative Fellowship at Lehigh Valley Health Network and an Administrative Residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Joseph Hwang began their career as an Emergency Medical Technician with North Shore-LIJ Health System and Jericho Fire Department. Joseph Hwang earned a Master of Health Administration from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences with a Biology Concentration from New York Institute of Technology.
