Emily Miller, LMSW, has a diverse background in social work and training. Emily started their career in 2012 as a Community Organizer with Organizing for America. Emily then worked as a Service Administration Coordinator and Program Developer at Capitol Hill Village. Emily also gained experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where they focused on gerontology research. Emily later became a secretary and board member at Northwest Neighbors Connecting. Emily's work also included managing the creation and implementation of person-centered Options Counseling programs as the Aging Disability Resource Center Program Manager at the Maryland Department of Aging. Emily provided care consultation at the Alzheimer's Association and served as an Independent Contractor at Northeast Pennsylvania Center for Independent Living. Emily also worked as a SAGECare Trainer at Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders, providing training and consulting on LGBT aging issues. Emily Miller, LMSW, holds a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Human Services, General, with a minor in Music, Percussion, from Millikin University from 2007 to 2011.
