Benjamin Filippo

Benjamin Filippo is a Co-Founder and COO at The Climate Source, focusing on developing climate resilience through Decarbonized Supply Chains and innovative financing. In addition to this role, Benjamin serves as a Technical Committee Member for Northeast SARE and is a Food Systems, ESG, and Value Chain Business Consultant at Bare Root Consulting since 2015, advising a diverse clientele including farmers, startups, and organizations. Alongside these positions, Benjamin contributes as a Grant Reviewer for the USDA and as an Organic Farm Inspector for the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association. Previous experience includes roles in grants management, produce management, and general management in the food sector. Benjamin holds a B.A. from Tufts University and a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, complemented by a Food Hub Management Certificate from the University of Vermont.
