Theresa Nitescu

COO at Northeast Valley Health Corporation

Theresa “Missy” Nitescu is the Chief Operations Officer for Northeast Valley Health Corporation (NEVHC), a non-profit, Joint Commission accredited (PCMH certified) federally qualified health center (FQHC) with 15 licensed primary care sites serving the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys. With over 30 years of experience in health care administration, Ms. Nitescu oversees all aspects of ambulatory care operations including designing and overseeing construction of all new NEVHC health centers. Previously, she worked for the NEVHC WIC Program as the nutrition education director, was a clinical dietitian for Mission Community Hospital, and a program manager for CA Project LEAN (Los Angeles Region) for California State University, Northridge. Ms. Nitescu currently serves as a board member on the SUNY-Plattsburgh Foundation and Valley Care Community Consortium (VCCC).

Ms. Nitescu is a registered dietitian with training from the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, New Jersey. She holds a bachelor’s degree from State University New York, Plattsburgh and a master’s degree from California State University, Northridge. She is also certified as a lactation educator and a health safety professional. Most recently, Ms. Nitescu was appointed by LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger (5th district) to the Community Prevention and Population Health Task Force.
