Assistant Professor, Early Childhood Education at Northeastern Illinois University

Lindsay Maldonado, PhD, serves as an Assistant Professor in Early Childhood Education at Northeastern Illinois University since August 2021. Previously, Lindsay held various leadership roles at Shedd Aquarium from 2010 to 2021, including Director of Research and Evaluation, where responsibilities involved developing research programs aligned with institutional goals, and overseeing audience research and evaluation efforts. Prior experiences include adjunct faculty positions at Harold Washington College and Northeastern Illinois University, along with roles at Garibay Group, Inc., Erikson Institute, YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School, the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, and Chicago Children's Museum, contributing to extensive research and evaluation in educational settings. Educational credentials include a PhD in Applied Child Development from Loyola University Chicago and an MS in Child Development from Erikson Institute.
