Michelle M. serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Northeastern Illinois University since March 2023 and holds the position of President at Woods Fund Chicago since November 2019. Previously, Michelle was the CEO and Executive Director of Mikva Challenge from September 2015 to October 2019, where responsibilities included enhancing action civics programming and fundraising within the Chicago area. Prior to that, Michelle was the Associate Director at Alternative Schools Network from 2002 to September 2015, leading strategic planning and program management for initiatives impacting over 600 youth. Michelle's experience also includes roles as Assistant Principal and Science Teacher at Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos Alternative High School. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies from DePaul University and multiple advanced degrees in education and leadership from various institutions, including a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Northeastern Illinois University.
