Daniel Seaton

Daniel Seaton is a highly experienced professional in educational technology and data analytics, currently serving as the Sr. Director of Research, Assessment, and Data Analytics at Northeastern University since January 2023. Prior to this role, Daniel held multiple positions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, including Sr. Data Product Manager and Sr. Learning Systems Designer, where responsibilities involved the design and strategy of various learning platforms. Daniel's previous experience includes a role as Product Owner at Harvard University, managing the development of educational content services, and serving as Sr. Research Scientist and Research Scientist, focusing on analytics for online courses. Daniel also contributed to Davidson College as an Educational Technologist and began a career at MIT in institutional research and postdoctoral research, specializing in learning analytics and educational data mining. Daniel holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Georgia and a BS in Physics from Auburn University.
