Lori Ferrins is a Research Associate Professor at Northeastern University since March 2015, having previously held the position of Research Assistant Professor, where responsibilities included leading projects funded by multiple NIH grants focused on the synthesis of novel inhibitors for Trypanosoma brucei brucei and Leishmania spp. Prior to this, Lori served as an Associate Research Scientist, managing NIH-funded projects, and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, working on related projects. Earlier experience at Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences from March 2012 to March 2015 included roles as a Technical Assistant, where responsibilities involved equipment maintenance in the Mass Spectrometry lab, and as a PhD candidate at Monash University, culminating in a Doctor of Philosophy in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2015. Lori also holds a Bachelor of Medicinal Chemistry with First Class Honours from La Trobe University.
