April Spurlock

April Spurlock has a background in marketing and communications. April is currently employed as the Director of Marketing and Communications at multiple companies including Northern Air Cargo, Aloha Air Cargo, Saltchuk Aviation Shared Services, StratAir, LLC, and Northern Air Maintenance Services, starting in June 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Communications Director for the City of Los Angeles from April 2018 to March 2021, and as the Public Relations Manager from October 2012 to April 2018. April also has experience as the Manager of Special Events at Pepperdine University from February 2008 to October 2012. In addition, they worked as a Public Relations Assistant at The Lippin Group from September 2007 to February 2008, and as an Associate Producer at Wingman Productions/Tunnel Post from May 2006 to September 2007. April Spurlock began their career as a Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator at California Cryobank from March 2005 to May 2006.

April Spurlock attended Cameron University from 2000 to 2001 but did not obtain a degree or specialize in any field of study during that time. Subsequently, they enrolled at Oklahoma State University from 2001 to 2004 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a focus on Public Relations. April also has several additional certifications to enhance their skill set. In 2016, they obtained a TESOL/TESL Certification from Oxford Seminars. In 2018, April completed the Crisis Communications Master Class offered by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Finally, in 2022, they obtained the Managing Communications Following an Aircraft Accident or Incident certification from the National Transportation Safety Board.
