Frank van Rooyen

Frank van Rooyen is a seasoned professional in the resources sector with extensive experience in investment and finance. Currently serving as the Senior Director Investments at the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility since April 2021, Frank van Rooyen leads the origination and execution of investments aligned with NAIF's criteria and government policy. Prior to this role, Frank van Rooyen held various positions at ANZ, including Director of Resources & WA and Head of Natural Resources Australia, where the management of the resources business in Australia and coordination of cross-border strategies were key responsibilities. Earlier career stages included roles at Macquarie Bank as an Equities Analyst and Director of Natural Resources, as well as a Senior Mining Engineer at Minproc Engineers, specializing in feasibility studies for projects across multiple continents. Frank van Rooyen holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering from Curtin University, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from FINSIA, and a Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
