Amanda O'Connell is an experienced professional with a strong background in cultural resource protection and governance within Indigenous communities. Currently serving as a Board Member for the Northern California Indian Development Council, Inc. and the California Indian Basketweavers Association, Amanda also holds positions as a Councilwoman and Tribal Historic Preservation Officer for the Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation, focusing on cultural resources, archives, and cemetery preservation. Additional roles have included Repatriation Coordinator & Collections Manager and various positions at Smith River Rancheria, where Amanda contributed significantly to cultural administration and housing. Amanda's education includes a certification in Tribal Governance from Harvard Business School Executive Education and studies at Oregon State University, Humboldt State University, and College of the Redwoods.
