Pamela Zobel-Thropp has a strong background in science project management and scientific writing. Pamela is currently working as a Science Project Manager and Scientific Writer at the Northern California Institute for Research and Education (NCIRE) since 2021. Prior to this, Pamela had a long tenure at Lewis & Clark College, Department of Biology, where they held various roles such as Visiting Assistant Professor, Research Associate, and Post-Doctoral Fellow from 2001 to 2021. In this position, they managed multiple research projects on the evolution of spider venom components, mentored undergraduate students, and effectively managed laboratory inventory and budgets for NSF and NIH grants.
Pamela Zobel-Thropp obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UCLA in the year 2000. Prior to that, they earned a B.A. in Biology from California State University, Long Beach in 1993. Additionally, in June 2020, they received a certification in COVID-19 Contact Tracing from Johns Hopkins University.
