Doug Thorp

Doug Thorp has a diverse work experience in the field of technology. Doug is currently the Director of Technology at Northern Credit Union. Before this, they worked at Celero Solutions, where they held various roles including Solutions Architect, Managed Services and Technical Solutions Consultant, Project Services. In these positions, they were responsible for providing technology solutions, conducting analysis, and consulting with clients to meet their business objectives. Prior to that, Doug worked at Metafore as a Senior Field Technician, providing on-site service and support to a major financial industry client. Overall, they have strong expertise in IT architecture, system development, and hardware/software maintenance.

Doug Thorp attended Hammerskjold High School from 1979 to 1982, where they obtained their Graduate Grade 13 degree with a focus on Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. Following high school, from 1982 to 1984, they enrolled at Lakehead University and studied Electrical Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Doug Thorp has obtained certifications such as TOGAF 9 Certified from The Open Group in August 2018, and ITIL Foundation V3 (2011) from PeopleCert in June 2018.
