Joanna Ferguson

Joanna Ferguson has extensive work experience in the energy and broadcasting industries. Joanna started their career at STV as a Resources Accountant, where they were responsible for budgeting, monthly reporting, and project activity.

Joanna then moved on to National Grid, where they held various roles, including Management Accountant in Operations Management in Glasgow and Bolton, Credit Manager for miscellaneous debt in Bolton, and Project Accountant for Project Quarterback in Solihull.

Afterwards, they joined Northern Gas Networks as a Revenue & Credit Manager, where they managed the revenue and credit functions of the company. Joanna later transitioned to the role of Industry Codes Manager, ensuring regulatory compliance with key industry codes and building relationships with external stakeholders. Joanna then became the Regulation & Industry Codes Manager, where they expanded their responsibilities to include compliance and change processes associated with the GT Licence.

Joanna'smost recent role at Northern Gas Networks is Head of Market Services & Regulatory Compliance, where they are responsible for the Market Services team and oversees industry code change and governance, Xoserve contract management, and regulatory compliance assessment and monitoring.

Throughout their career, Joanna has demonstrated strong knowledge of regulatory obligations, effective stakeholder management, and a commitment to maintaining compliance and improving arrangements for customers.

Joanna Ferguson earned a B.Acc (Bachelor of Accountancy) from the University of Stirling, where they attended from 1993 to 1997. Later on, they pursued an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from The University of Huddersfield, studying there from 2005 to 2007.
