Keith Owen

Keith Owen has over 30 years of work experience in the gas industry. Keith started their career at Transco (British Gas) as a Communications Engineer, where they managed the delivery of telephony systems. Keith then joined National Grid as a Shift Control Engineer, responsible for overseeing the gas transmission network. At National Grid, they also worked as a Day Support Manager and >7bar Network Analyst, where they focused on planning operational windows and analyzing the gas network. Keith later joined Northern Gas Networks, where they held various roles including System Control Day Support Manager and Control Centre Manager. In these roles, they managed teams and systems, ensured regulatory compliance, and represented the company to external stakeholders. Currently, Keith is the Head of Systems Development and Energy Strategy at Northern Gas Networks.

Keith Owen obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree with honors in Control / Digital System Engineering from the University of Sunderland. Keith attended this university from 1988 to 1991.
