Cal Haines is an experienced Pastor serving in the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church since July 2014, focusing on the ministry of Word, Sacrament, Order, and Service. Skills include preaching, teaching, writing, and pastoral care, particularly in empathetic listening and congregational engagement. Prior to this role, Cal worked as a Marketing Consultant at Verizon Wireless from January 2000 to June 2014 and as a Public Relations Support Organization Specialist at IBM from June 1997 to December 1999. Cal holds a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary (2011-2015) and a Master of Science in Journalism (M.S.J.) from Northwestern University (1985-1986).
