Diane Rink

Diane Rink, PMP, has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Diane started their career at GE Transportation as a Black Belt, where they focused on process improvement. Diane then worked at BP, where they held multiple positions including Pipeline Project Manager, Development and Retention Lead for the BP SWE Network, Change Manager, Operations Process Specialist, Supply Chain Analyst, Company Account Executive, and Area Maintenance Manager. At BP, they developed strategies to retain female engineers and initiated a successful professional development conference. Following their time at BP, Diane worked at Schneider Electric as an Applications Engineer. Currently, they are working at Nicor Gas as the Director of Regional Field Operations, where they oversee natural gas emergency response, maintenance, safety compliance, workforce development, and budget management. Prior to this role, they also held positions as the Director of Construction Operations, Engineering Manager for Contract Engineering, and Engineering Manager for Planning and Liaison at Nicor Gas. Diane Rink's work experience demonstrates their diverse skill set and expertise in project management, operations, engineering, and leadership.

Diane Rink, PMP has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from the Gies College of Business - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, obtained from 2023 to 2026. Diane also holds a Certificate in Executive Women in Leadership from Cornell University, earned from 2022 to 2023. In 2020, they completed the United Way Board Leadership Institute program at Kellogg Executive Education, specializing in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Diane Rink has also acquired several certifications, including OSHA 30 Construction from the US Department of Labor OSHA in 2021, and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2010. Diane is also a Professional Engineer Intern (FE/EIT) licensed by the State of Illinois.
