Catherine Squires

Catherine Squires, CFRE, serves as the President and CEO of the NIU Foundation and Vice President for University Advancement at Northern Illinois University since April 2015. Previously, Catherine held the role of Vice President for Development at Tufts Medical Center from June 2008 to March 2015, where responsibilities included serving as the chief development executive for Tufts University's principal teaching hospitals. Additional experience includes positions such as Chief Advancement Officer at the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago and Vice President of Development at Advocate Health Care. Catherine's career began with leadership roles in development at The Youth Campus and the Illinois Chamber Symphony. Educationally, Catherine earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Music in Musicology from Northwestern University.
