Cornelia Hayes Reed

Cornelia (Corrie) Hayes Reed is a versatile professional in the fields of the arts and communications, currently serving as a Graduate Assistant to the Dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Northern Illinois University since August 2022. Simultaneously, Cornelia works as the Development Operations Coordinator and an actor at Taproot Theatre Company, while also operating as a freelance graphic designer through Creations by Corrie. Previous experience includes roles as a Content Writer and PR & Marketing Strategist at The Firm Advisors, a History Writing and Macroeconomic Tutor, an Honors Speech Fellow, and a Teaching Assistant at Northwestern. Cornelia also has a background in education as an intern with Omaha Performing Arts and a Teaching Artist with OCStages, alongside a notable title as Miss Teen of America 2015-2016. Cornelia holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Theatre from Northwestern College, with classical acting training from LAMDA.
